Each peril includes a page with a 3D house illustration mapped with numbered structural resilience features outlined in red or green to indicate the presence or absence of each feature. Individual 2D retrofit illustrations with text, video links, and resources appear below the house, along with code and disaster history for the location.
The color-coded analysis is based on the best available data and reflects the adoption status of the International Residential Code (IRC) and International Building Code (IBC). It does not reflect information regarding building code enforcement.
If you receive a gray color-coded finding for your search area, your community’s residential building code adoption status may not be available; however, you may contact your local government for the information. Please remember that mobile homes and manufactured housing are not constructed using the codes reflected in this analysis, so this website does not apply to those home types.
